Every year trains, chartered for the occasion, bring almost 100,000 costumed supporters to Paris. At the station waves of singing fans immerse the streets of Paris for a moment of communion and fun.
Concerts and performances before, during and after the game fill the stadium. Players push their limits and create a show of incomparable suspense and intensity. In the stands, fans compete with loud cheers and songs.
After the final, no matter the end result, fans of both teams celebrate and fraternize. They cheerfully sing and wander through the street of Paris to end up in the “Latin quarter”to celebrate till dawn. Join the party, sing the songs and meet rugby legends…
Designed for players aged 16 to 17, this camp mixes high performance training sessions with educational options and non-rugby activities.
Join us and develop your skills, agility & speed, while learning about physical conditioning and elite rugby.
Coaches emphasize safety, training essentials and rugby IQ. They adopt a player-centric approach to maximize development during and after camp.
Sessions cover ball handling, passing, running angles, tackling, rucking, scrum / line-out specifics, attack / defense phases, video analysis, physical conditioning, recovery techniques, nutrition, mental preparation…
Coaches establish a personal rapport and communicate constantly with players. They run a players’ assessment and group players according to rugby IQ. Training volume and intensity are adapted to the performance level of each group. They also assess individual challenges and strengths to create a personalized development plan.
In a typical day of camp, training sessions alternate with non-rugby activities
MHR was born in 1986 after the merger of the Stade Montpéllierain (1907) and the Montpellier Université Club Rugby (1921).
The new stadium inaugurated in 2007 includes a “Bodega”, restaurants, a gift shop, and offices for both the professional team and the academy. MHR campus also contains a players’ quarter with a secured minor dorm. Facilities include grass pitches, synthetic fields, fitness & wrestling rooms, video analysis rooms, classrooms, multiple locker-rooms, and TV & game rooms…
MHR has a long tradition of youth programs and its Academy consistently ranks among the best in France. MHR youth teams participate every year in multiple finals and win numerous titles.
52% of MHR elite graduates have become Professionals, Olympians or even International players….
The Academy team includes world-rugby level 3 coaches, assistant coaches, program supervisors, physiotherapists, doctors as well as international players such as Gaëlle Mignot. Active Elite 1 player and level 3 coaches, Gaelle’s player record includes: 5x Elite 1 Champion, 70 caps & National Team Captain, 3x 6 Nations winner- 2 Grand Slams, 2 World Cup participation – 3rd place in 2017.
Located on the MHR campus, the Academy benefits from all MHR facilities and also offers several off campus housing alternatives.
